Interview Contentment Tunes: Fesylla Harahap
Welcome to Contentment Tunes mini interview with the contributor.
As for our fifth volume, we're bringing Hip Hop laid-back to Contentment Tunes. Please introduce this volume's contributor, Fesylla Harahap. Here are several things she told us about the narrative behind her playlist.
Why have you picked these songs?
I love hip hop, and particularly the power they contain. Some songs can have such deep lyrics which really move the soul. The beats I've picked are different to what is mostly out there these days regarding flow so I've picked songs with a laid back beat and vibe.
When or where should this playlist be listened to?
Best while driving at night, if you're like me who loves cruising around, this will be your playlist. Or whenever you feel tired and you're thinking about life, need some inspiration of how to get through hard times, some of the lyrics from this playlist will help you.
Are there certain song you repeatedly listen to during the different parts of your working hour?
Rejjie Snow - Purple Tuesday!! The lyrics are amazing, the Joey Bada$$ part is my favorite. If I can quote the whole verse, I’ll do it, but the point that I get from the verse is that as we get older, it may become harder to see the good in life, particularly if you’ve been through a lot, or hate your current job. So as I quote from Joey’s verse “it’ll all get sunny, but for now it’s this money” hahaha
Can you tell us how this playlist can affect your mood?
This playlist can help you feel relaxed and perhaps uplift your mood. Bit of a feel good playlist for those in need.
